Glossy Ibis Plegadis falcinellus
A very rare visitor to the UK although some individuals have stayed here for many months or even years. The species is prone to occasional influxes but in very recent years these have become a regular event and several flocks have made it to the UK. The greatest numbers have tended to be in the south-west but these flocks of 3 and 4 birds turned up here in Norfolk.
